“Classic lit, bit by bit”

Posted on: July 16, 2006

Do you have 5 minutes a day?

Here’s an interesting site — Classic Novels in 5 Minutes a Day…the idea being that any classic of literature can be digested in daily emailed chunks, taking about 5 minutes a day to read.

Neat idea, if one follows through. I subscribed ages ago to Tartuffe by Moliere, thinking “Oh, 11 emails, I can do that!” Never cracked them. Kept meaning to go back to read it. I’m trying again with The Art of War by Sun Tzu. It’s not a huge library, but there’s some great stuff.

Try it. And tell me if you stick to it, especially the 248 emails for Don Quixote!
